A Catalog of Independent Study

The registrar's index
to the unseen.

Sixty-odd reference sites, sorted into departments and shelved like a card catalog — every entry marked by how it earned its place: Attested, Tradition, or Synthesis.

Registrar's Note

How credit is earned here

Every course in the catalog is graded the same way the source material earns its keep — nothing is flattened into one undifferentiated "belief."

Attested

Primary-source credit

Drawn from surviving texts, inscriptions, or historical record — cited to what actually survives, not to what's assumed about it.

Tradition

Living-practice credit

Carried forward by continuous practice or oral transmission — real, but marked apart from the documentary record it grew alongside.

Synthesis

Elective credit

Later interpretation, modern reconstruction, or cross-tradition blending — useful, and labeled as the newer layer that it is.
